We're inviting a small number of secondary schools across the North East to participate in a research project that evaluates the impact of DreamBox Reading Plus on reading development.

Reading Plus is an award-winning online programme that improves reading fluency, comprehension and stamina through personalised, adaptive learning.

What participation looks like

  • Two similar Year 8 English classes per school take part
  • One class uses Reading Plus alongside normal teaching, while the other continues with usual classroom practice
  • Participation is designed to fit around normal KS3 English teaching
  • Additional workload for teachers is intentionally kept low
  • The evaluation runs from 14 September to 27 November 2026

As a thank-you, participating schools will continue to have free access to Reading Plus for both Year 8 classes until the end of the spring term.
