Reading Plus is getting a refreshed new look this term, designed to make the platform more engaging, intuitive and accessible for pupils.
The updated experience introduces a cleaner, modern design with improved navigation, helping pupils move through the programme more confidently and independently while keeping the focus on reading success.
A more visual experience
The refreshed design uses clearer layouts, updated visuals and a more pupil-friendly interface to support engagement and focus.
It is now easier for pupils to access the platform, move between tasks and understand where they are within the programme.
Easier navigation for pupils
Simplified menus and clearer pathways help pupils move through sessions more independently and stay on track during lessons.
Key information including comprehension, reading rate, vocabulary, achievements and reading profile progress is now easier to view and understand, helping pupils monitor their own progress, build confidence and stay motivated.
Improved accessibility and usability
Clearer buttons, improved readability and a more streamlined experience help pupils interact with the platform more confidently and know what to do next.
The same Reading Plus impact
While the look and feel is changing, the core Reading Plus experience remains the same, continuing to support reading fluency, comprehension, stamina and confidence through personalised adaptive learning.
The refresh has been designed to make it easier for pupils to engage with their learning, stay motivated and clearly understand their own progress, while keeping the instruction and reporting that schools already know and trust.
We’ll continue to share updates and guidance to help your school prepare for the transition and will let you know as soon as the rollout begins.

Looking ahead to 2026/27
We’re really excited to also be introducing dozens of new high-quality fiction and nonfiction texts for the new academic year, alongside the refreshed Reading Plus experience.
The expanded library will give pupils even more engaging reading choices across the programme, helping support motivation, interest and reading enjoyment.
