What were you doing before starting your role at Daisy Education?
Since studying Marketing Management at University, I have worked in several Marketing positions in the Further Education, Motor Trade and Retail sectors. From traditional to digital marketing, my roles have allowed me to gain some brilliant experience and work alongside some of the best teams and professionals.
What attracted you to the education sector?
Working in a sector which impacts the lives of others really appealed to me. My eldest son is currently in primary school, and I realise how much support and work is involved in teaching our children. It’s great working in a role and sector where I know we can encourage and help children develop their skills and interest in reading.
How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Friendly. Optimistic. Caring
Tell us about your role in Daisy's Marketing Team.
Working within the in-house marketing team, I help execute, monitor and measure integrated marketing campaigns and customer communications, ensuring they meet their objectives and ROI.
When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?
I love spending time and enjoying new experiences with my two boys, family, and friends.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t worry about the small things. You’ll not remember in a few months/years. Make the most of all the experiences life throws at you – life really is short.
What was your favourite childhood book?
I used to love The Bunk Bed Bus and The Jolly Postman. I still have the copies that I had as a child. I also used to love the Roald Dahl classics.
What piece of tech can you not live without and why?
My phone! Mostly because of the camera – I love taking lots of photographs!
If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
It would be the ability to slow down time or go back in time to make the most of the things we enjoy with the people we love to spend time with.
