Recognise outstanding effort and progress on Reading Plus by nominating a student for our Star of the Month award (SOTM).
What is Star of the Month?
Each month, we celebrate one primary and one secondary student who has shown exceptional commitment, perseverance and enthusiasm for reading with Reading Plus.
These students stand out for their dedication and programme usage - whether it’s consistent effort in class, steady progress or a passion for reading outside the classroom.
Promote Star of the Month in your school community
- Download our Star of the Month poster and newsletter text to promote nominations around the school.
- Letter to send home to parents to encourage home usage and raise awareness of this initiative.
Rewarding success
In recognition of their effort, each Star of the Month winner receives a special Reading Plus SOTM kit, including:
- A £15 voucher, a surprise book and a trophy.
- A winner’s certificate and personalised letter.
- Reading Plus merchandise and stickers.
As a school, you will also receive:
- A digital pack including images and text to share the news with your local community.
- Support from our communications team to share your student's success with your local newspaper.
