Hi, I'm Louise. I support schools in Coventry and Worcestershire to improve reading fluency, comprehension and confidence with Reading Plus.

Support that turns reading strategy into real impact

I work with school leaders and literacy teams across Coventry and Worcestershire to help students become more confident, fluent and motivated readers using DreamBox Reading Plus.

Whether you are:

  • Struggling to close reading gaps
  • Looking to strengthen comprehension and vocabulary
  • Preparing pupils for KS3, GCSEs or SATs
  • Or trying to make reading intervention more effective

I can provide hands-on, practical support to help you achieve measurable impact.

What working with me looks like

I don't just introduce our online programme - I partner with your school to make sure it delivers results.

I will guide you through:

1. Planning a successful pilot

Deciding which pupils to include, how Reading Plus fits into your timetable and what success should look like for your school.

2. Launching and implementing Reading Plus

Supporting with staff training, setup and pupil rollout, and best-practice usage models so the programme is embedded properly from day one.

3. Monitoring progress and impact

Working with you throughout the pilot to review engagement and usage, track reading progress and growth, and understand what the data is telling you, so you can see clearly whether Reading Plus is delivering the outcomes you need.

4. Moving from pilot to sustained improvement

At the end of the pilot, I will help with reviewing impact, building a long-term implementation plan and deciding how Reading Plus fits into your wider reading strategy.

Who I work with

I support schools across Birmingham and Worcestershire, including primary and secondary schools, MATs and groups of schools, and schools with high numbers of struggling or reluctant readers.

My focus is always the same: helping schools use Reading Plus to make reading improvement visible, measurable and sustainable.

Next step: let’s talk about your pupils

If you’re interested in running a Reading Plus pilot or want to explore how it could support your reading priorities, the best next step is a short conversation.

I will:

  • Ask about your pupils and challenges
  • Explain how Reading Plus works in schools like yours
  • Talk you through what a supported pilot would look like

Want to know more about me?

Read on if you would like to learn more about my background, experience and journey into education.

Louise joined Daisy Education as our Licence Support Officer and has since joined our team of Reading Development Consultants. The experience she gained in helping schools as our Licence Support Officer made her extremely passionate about Reading Plus, its benefits and the difference it can make in children’s lives. Her new role at Daisy allows her to use her knowledge and experience in the education sector and our programme to help teachers successfully implement Reading Plus in their schools.

What did you do before you became a Licence Support Officer at Daisy Education?

I was self-employed in network marketing for almost five years before starting my new career in the education sector. Before that my background was in the energy industry. A world away from what I do now!

What attracted you to the education sector?

I’ve always had a keen interest in working in education and child development. When the opportunity at Daisy Education became available, I knew it was a chance to fulfil something I had always wanted to do.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Competitive. Sociable. Organised.

Tell us more about your role at Daisy Education.

After working in the renewals team, the experience I gained in helping schools resulted in a promotion to become a Reading Development Consultant. I have seen first-hand the reading results a consultant can help schools and pupils achieve. I’m extremely passionate about Reading Plus, the benefits it has and the difference it can make.

What do you enjoy most about working at Daisy Education?

Job satisfaction. Knowing that I am part of something that makes a difference to a child’s education and future. Reading development is so important, being a confident reader is more than being able to pick a book up and read it, it affects so many aspects of life – both in school and at home. I also work with an amazing group of people, which makes the day even more enjoyable!

When you are not working, what do you enjoy doing?

Lots of family time with my husband and children. Tynemouth is one of our favourite places – whether that be beach days (depending on the fine British weather) or a walk along the coast with fish and chips. Football takes up a lot of our spare time! Thankfully, we all love it. Eating out and socialising with friends is also a favourite pastime.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Don’t sweat the small stuff!!

What piece of tech can you not live without and why?

Probably the standard answer: My phone! I like to be organised, set reminders and have a lot of ‘lists’.

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?

To freeze time – imagine having a pause button you could press to stop and evaluate the decision.
